Bed Yoga Time
Learn a practice to nourish and support you through your Winter hibernation
Do you wish you could slow down?
As we move through Autumn and approach the Winter months, we see the trees, plants and animals preparing for their hibernation and going into rest mode.
But as humans in our productivity oriented culture, we often forget that slowing down is a natural and much-needed part of our life. We battle through the darker, colder months trying to keep up our frantic pace, and wonder why we get run down, exhausted, unwell and burnt out by Spring.
Slowing down and resting is not easy, especially if you're used to living your life at a million miles an hour!
It may not seem it but it's a FAR more challenging practice than zipping through lots of physical yoga postures or standing on your head but the benefits to your sleep, stress levels, and ability to cope with life are SO worth it!
I'm here to show you a practice that can help you to slow down and rest, nourishing and supporting you over the Winter months so you can emerge in Spring feeling refreshed and full of life!
This is also the perfect practice if you've been put off doing yoga because you're worried about the movements or struggle to balance - ALL the postures will be lying down or close to the ground so you can relax and enjoy.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the whole session lying down?
Yes - we'll either be lying down or very close to the ground for the whole session. The idea is to practice postures that could be done in bed so there will be no standing postures.
What if I find it difficult getting up and down off the floor?
We will only be getting down once (at the beginning) and up once (at the end). You are welcome to use a chair or blocks to help you get up or down, and if you'd like my assistance just let me know and I'll be happy to support you in the face to face session. If you don't want to get up and down off the floor, why not join our online session and you can practice in bed?
Will beds be provided?
Unfortunately not! We'll be doing this practice lying on our mats for the face to face session, but I will encourage you to bring lots of props so it will feel just as warm and cosy as if you were wrapped up in bed. Get your fluffiest cushions, blankets and jumpers ready! If you're joining the online session you are very welcome to practice in your bed or wherever you feel most comfortable lying down!

What do my students say about relaxing with me?
"Anna's yoga classes are like nothing I have ever experienced before.
Her voice is angelic and leaves me feeling incredibly 'zen' and relaxed after each and every class. She always makes you feel amazing in every pose and supports you along the way.
Everyone needs to experience Anna Banana Yoga!!"
- Annie Osborne
"Anna has a particularly soothing voice which immediately allows me to relax and I look forward to my sessions every week."
- Sally Smith
I was a beginner when I started Anna’s yoga class and have kept coming back each term since January 2022 because I have been enjoying the weekly sessions so much. After a long day, they are a really good way to relax and put to one aside any work stresses and help to focus on myself.
- Rob Wootton
"Enjoyed the beginners class, so relaxed in the last session I think I may of inadvertently fallen asleep!"
